Screening
Memory tests
Need to undergo early screening for Alzheimer's disease, have memory problems that worry you, or want to monitor the progression of a diagnosed condition?
The Accès infirmières team offers personalized support to detect cognitive decline so that we can intervene quickly and prevent further loss. The test results are sent directly to your doctor to speed up the medication process with the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ).
The signs of Alzheimer's disease
Have you noticed any of these signs?
Memory loss can manifest itself in various ways, such as:
Forgetting recently learned information
Forgetting important dates or events
Asking for the same information repeatedly
Increasingly relying on reminders
Such as reminder notes, for example.
Ask family members for help with things the person used to do on their own
Mood and personality changes
Changes in activities
Social isolation
Alzheimer's disease
Three (3) screening tests
- Folstein test
- MOCA test
- Clock test
The Folstein and MOCA tests help screen for memory loss disorders and guide your doctor in diagnosing Alzheimer's disease.
If you are concerned about memory loss, take the initiative for early diagnosis by presenting your memory test results at your next appointment with your family doctor.
Don't be caught off guard when it's time to renew your free medication: we perform the tests and send the results directly to your family doctor to activate the process with the Régie d'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ).
