Here is a list of symptoms that indicate a sore throat that needs to be treated. However, the criteria for seeking medical attention vary depending on your age group. <\/p>\n

- Mouth temperature> 38\u00b0C;<\/li>\n
- No coughing;<\/li>\n
- Tender anterior cervical lymph nodes: Tender lymph nodes in the throat\/neck;<\/li>\n
- Presence of tonsillar exudates: Yellowish spots at the back of the throat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t

Children aged 3 to 14<\/h5>
The child must have two (2) of the symptoms listed.<\/p><\/li>

- Severe pain when swallowing: unable to swallow or almost unable to swallow<\/li>\n
- Excessive salivation<\/li>\n
- Spasms of the jaw muscles<\/li>\n
- Stiffness in the neck<\/li>\n
- Stridor or severe breathing difficulty<\/li>\n
- You have been treated for pharyngitis<\/li>\n
