Stool can end up in food, water, or on various surfaces. contact or blood.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Means of transmission<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vaginal intercourse<\/li>\n<li>Anal sex<\/li>\n<li>Sharing sex toys<\/li>\n<li>Sexual transmission can occur even without orgasm or ejaculation.<\/li>\n<li>Sharing equipment used to prepare, inject, or inhale drugs<\/li>\n<li>Tattooing or piercing with non-sterile equipment<\/li>\n<li>Contact between a blood-contaminated liquid and damaged skin (e.g., through a bite, sting, cut, such as from a shell at the beach, or a wound)<\/li>\n<li>Contact between a contaminated liquid and a mucous membrane (e.g., lining the mouth or female and male genital organs)<\/li>\n<li>Blood transfusion, when transfusion safety measures are not applied (these measures are applied in Canada)<\/li>\n<li>An infected
